OK, I have had little time to post recently and the weather has not allowed me to try out a couple of new 'cheap' lenses I have aquired.
This was taken tonight with the Minolta MD 24mm f2.8, which at 275 grams fits not bad on the front of the GXR. I was hoping to test out its rumoured sharpness and if it is possible to actually do that on a misty evening, then here is my attempt! Seven images combined to make this one. It is not TOO HDR, as I hate the unrealistic efects it normally creates.
But dare I say that it looks reasonably sharp? :D

Andy, looks very fine indeed. I like the composition as well as the 'misty' atmosphere.

Nice colors and overall result. Does not scream at all "I'm a HDR!", you are right, and I also hate those... ;)

Very expressive photo, I can't help think that tree in the foreground would make a great Christmas tree.
The HDR is nicely balanced colours wise, subtle for a HDR really.

Good work Andy, I like it.
PS: thanks for braving the cold to get this image for us!

Thanks for the comments guys! I liked it because the colour seemed somehow 'zoned' which I guess is just a trick of the mixed lighting sources...
As this was taken from the roof of our appartment, I guess you might get to see similar views eventually... ;)

Tim,
being a little nomadic these days, I am still preserving quite a lot of anonymity! ;)
This is one part of 'me' though... :)
