GXR Start settings readout

Hi,
configuring the different camera modules, a doubt has appeard:
does somebody know which is the list of settings stored during the camera shutoff
that we can recover from the body or the module at our choice via the
function in the setup?

Hi Albert,

I sent you already an email with an attempt of an answer. But perhaps other members in this forum are interested in the answer as well...

I asked my contact at Ricoh, who again asked colleagues in Japan, and we also applied "some logic". The answer that we came up with is as follows:

• All settings that a user can change are either stored in the body or in the camera unit -- depending on the setting in the menu "Start Settings Readout".

"Pure logic" led us to conclude that the settings are stored in an identical fashion either in the body or in the camera unit. Finally, my Ricoh contact confirmed that ALL the settings that a user can change are stored.

I have not really addresses the Start Settings issue as at present I have only two modules, the P10 and the A12 Leica M unit but I intend to get the new A16 zoom so it will become more of an issue. It would seem logical to store settings in the lens unit so that settings would presumably change as you changed the lens unit.
