GXR v1.44
All camera units -
Corrected the appearance below. If the Focus Assist is set to [On] and the camera is in the movie mode, the displayed symbol for focus assist may be partially missing when the power is turned on.
A12 and Mount units -
Modified to reflect properly the setting for [Contrast] adjustment in [Image Settings], when taking a picture with ISO-LO.
Mount unit -
Change the item below. To properly display the [Lens Name] that is entered in the My Setting, the name will be included next to the [Model Name] in the Exif data.
Modified the phenomenon below. When [Auto Resize Zoom] is used, black vertical strips may be displayed while framing.
S10 unit -
Improved AF accuracy when taking the first picture after turning the power on.

After updating my firmware to 1.44 with S10 unit fitted. The LCD starts to break up and black areas appear when I view my recent exposures. Any ideas why this is happening ?
Peter.

Peter, is this just on the screen or on the files also? If you post more info I'd be glad to try to duplicate the issue.

Just been thinking about the black patches that appear on my LCD. They have appeared after taking photos using an external flash and it is on the white areas or the areas with a light on them. The flash is a SUNPAK PF20XD and possibly another RICOH FORUM member has used this flash and could help on this one. The combination is the GXR and S-10 + SUNPAK PF20XD.
Hope that this will help to sort this out.
Fingers crossed. Peter.

... Peter.
Hi Peter,
are the black patches flashing on you LCD in some way?

Andy

this is a feature not a bug. these areas are overexposed and marked by this black flashing area.

you can simply deactivate it by cyclingnthrough the display modes holding "disp".

If the areas are flashing I think it is the "white saturation" screen. As sparcx said, you can deactivate it by cycling through the display modes.

Bye

Yes the black patches do seem to be flashing. So it is the over exposure that is the problem.
Thank you for answering about this problem and the problem is no more.
Thank you all and regards Peter.
