I haven't had any AF issues with any lensor. Many times I'll tilt the camera on an angle to help it get exact focus. The GXR is no speed demon but it's not meant to be. It is deadly accurate tho'. Much more than the X100 in any light.

Try tilting around 20-30 degrees, lock focus and your good to go.

Colors are quite real. I always do a bit of PS but it's more for contrast really.
It's the night ambiance of the places.
In this season I get out of home in the afternoon and by the time I'm ready to shoot its dark already...
