GRD SD card problem,please help

Hi everybody I am new here

I have recently purchased a ricoh grd with gv1.(monochrom.com). I have updated it in the latest version 2.40. Almost ten days ago the camera started not taking pictures showing "capacity short" message. if full pressing the shutter button there is a message "format card". I tried to format the card from camera several times but there was a screen showing "error / 00-00-00 / 26-03-06". I tried three different cards a Jessops , a Sandisk Ultra2 plus USB, and a simple Sandisk. All of them had a capacity of 1Gb as said in the ricoh support site and were working just fine with my recently stolen GX100. A note: I tried to format a card in computer in both FAT32 and FAT format but there was no impact. Only in FAT format the camera seemed to work ok. I fully pressed the shutter release, there was no "capacity short" notification but the problem appeared again when the camera tried to write the image in the card(LED blinking), showing the message "error / 00-00-00 / 26-03-06". When connecting the camera through usb cable only internal memory seem to be accesible.
Another time showed something different "error / 00-00-00 / 26-03-0A", What should I do?

I tried recommended cards like Panasonic but after a few days of use still the same problem

Hello sebastikar and welcome here! I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Never heard of or experienced similar problem with GRD? I would definitely suggest to use only the in-camera formatting. But your problem seems to be a card independent. So I'm afraid, you will have to send your camera for repair. It looks like something wrong in SD card compartment?

Hi - I know this was years ago now, but I just wondered, in case you still (or anyone else who's had the problem) looks at this forum, whether you found out what the 26-03-06 message is all about - and how to fix it. I've been having the same problem on and off with my GRD1 for ages, and had put it away a year or so ago thinking it had had it, but got it out again recently and it's such a great little camera that I'm loth to give up on it. But it is kind of annoying when it eats images, freezes up with this code and so on, for no apparent reason. If anyone has this problem or knows anything about it, I'd love to hear from you! thanks, adam
