Here`s yet another site with Comparison between RICOH GR, NIKON COOLPIX A and SIGMA DP1 -http://www.dslrmagazine.com/pruebas/pruebas-tecnicas/compactas-sin-filtro-aa-rendimiento.html.
Gee the sharpness of Foveon in moire test. Still for low light fast shoting looks like GR is the one for me. Stanislaw

I've long been tempted by the DP-M but no way could I use the camera for any street stuff or anything else that moves come to that.

Such a shame really as the sensor produces stunning results, if I did more landscape (base ISO) work I'd buy one for sure.

After pixel peeping - sorry - the Nikon and Ricoh are better at anything over 400ISO. But we knew that already.
What does surprise me is how similar in IQ the Nikon and Ricoh are. Its only the detail (pun intended) that different in each.

The DP2M would complement a GR well IMO.

You`re welcome. As a matter of fact it would be interesting if somebody made a qualified comparison between GXR A12 28, which I have, and GR which I don`t. Just two things IQ and AF. By the way , does GR use the same battery as GXR?

I'm still hoping someone will put up comparison shots of real-life stuff : landscapes, scenery, foliage, macro, streetshots, portraits, etc. Studio shots have their value, but we also need other examples.
I still can't decide completely between the DPM and the GR for me - for what I like to do, the DPM is great, but the IQ and versatility of the GR are also very tempting. If a manufacturer would bring out a weather resistant model with the DNA of the GR, my doubts would be over. I have another two months to decide, so I'm slowly taking my time...

It's a pity the DP1 uses an "odd" file format - I think DNG is the best raw solution when it comes to being able to work with more types of software.

Yes, I wish ALL camera manufacturers would standardise and adopt the DNG format instead of their own individual RAW types. Was great when I shot a Leica M8 & Ricoh GRD II as post processing was so easy with both having DNG output.
