GR IV Issues Resolved?

As a long time GR ussr, I am looking for another GR after a year's absence. My GR iii's were OK, one needing a new lens barrel after warranty expired, the other only a sensor clean after three years. I have read several threads, and the reviews on B&H about failure to retract, and "lens error" messages. So may bite the bullet on one of the remaining New GRiiix's while still available. But I would rather have the IV with the 28mm and slightly better focus. I realize only people with issues post complaints and wonder if these issues are relatively rare, or whether QC has improved...Thank you for your thoughts.

I haven’t used my IV much yet, but I did have some issues with my IIIx. There’s dust on the sensor, and it had to be repaired a while back because the SD card wouldn’t stay in place. The lens also glitches from time to time.
