GR at Sakura festiva in CPH

Well, well. Finally I couldn`t resist any more. I took a plunge, I bought GR. It is a bit different machine from my GXRs, have to get use to it. I must say I enjoy it compactness being able to have a serious camera in my suit inner pocket for example. So I carry it like a smartphone that takes pictures too but doesn`t havew a feel of real cam not speaking about famous Ricoh ergonomics. Enough shop talking. Day after I bought GR I went to Sakura festival organised by japaneese and danes alike. The trees in the pictures are ... of course sakuras in full bloom, a gift from japaneese embassy. Pictures are shot from the hip, just hit or miss. They are cropped to 1:1 and given some sakura saturation. Dozo - Stanislaw

Stanislaw,
Hey, wow, congratulations.
I am sure you will find the GR a useful tool.
Your first pics here look great and of course you are familiar with GXR so the learning curve is smooth for you.

My GR always goes with me, even if another camera comes along also!

Thank you Tim, I found it quite amusing coincidence buying japanese product on Sakura festival day. I`m a bit scared of its sharpness. The files sometimes look too sharp for me comparing with my trusty A12 28. I havn`t yet found why, is it 16MP vs. GXR 12, or perhaps default sharpness. It`s set on 0 value anyway. Will have to make some tests with - sharpness settings. Anyway, here`re some more picts from festival. One question: when I upload text and picts on my Mac upload goes in right sequence, while on PC ( windows ) everything goes backward (last thing first ). A solution, please?

Great series, Stanislaw! Crisp colors and sharp contrast-rich pictures.

"...uploading..."
Regardless of whether Mac or Windows7, everything goes backward with me. No idea...

Kind regards
Christian
