Fuji X-100 samples

Fuji have officially announced the X-100 but I see its still yet to be shipped.

There are some samples here now, http://www.finepix-x100.com/en/gallery/images

While i think the samples are pretty good, I am not entirely convinced they are great representative of whats possible. The samples look softish(is that a word?) to me, this could perhaps be post processed out. I certainly think the lens IQ is excellent, no CA that I could see of any detriment. I thought the DR was still lacking but of course this is with all such sensors . I would like to see a relevant side by side similar RAW processed image from both the X-100 and the GRX w/28mm as a comparison. I somehow think though they would be similar but different, time will tell, once a test is done.

I think I've read of a price of about US$1200 floating about and considering the complex viewfinder this may be where the extra $$ is.

Of course this camera is really no competitior to the GRX, they are quite different approaches, but I think the X-100 is a direct competitor to the Leica X1 :p

Good sample gallery. I think it's better and more representative gallery than the photos posted by Ricoh for A12 modules? The X100 colors seems to be very good. I think the sharpness is not that bad either? Even the A12 50 photos are not razor sharp at the pixel level. What I miss are some high ISO samples. One B&W ISO400 is just a joke. Is there something they want to hide from us? ;) But of course, this "low-ISO-samples-only" approach is not different from any other manufacturer, including Ricoh.
