Fn buttons in "Stealth Mode"?

Hey guys, is there a way to access the fn1, fn2, effects button, with the camera in "stealth mode" (display image off)?

When the display is off I can only access settings and adj menu, but to change the snap focus distance, for example, i have to click on the display button and the lcd shows the image...

I´d be great to have only my exp. and shutter speed show up and the access to the quick (fn) buttons, but without the image : P

 :?:

Re: Ricoh GR + GT1 - useful or not?

Hi and welcome here! I think the setting you are looking for can be found in Setup menu. You just need to set the Information Display Mode to ON. After that, once in no-picture display mode, any button press or wheel scroll will show the actual setting values on the black screen. Only certain actions display also the image (like for example during changing Exposure Compensation). Hope this helps? Enjoy the forum!

Hi! This forum is great, i joined just to ask that, but I think i'll be coming back here regularly.

Thanks!
That kind of did the trick.
I get the black screen.
If i change the dials I get only that info, BUT if i press the fn button once, it doesn't show the options (of the snap distance, for example). It shows all the basic info.
I have to press it again, and the second i do that, BLIP, up comes the image.
The second i change it, BLOP, the screen just goes back to black, but still the image pops up.

I supose that's ok, but anyway, thoughts on that?

Thanks so much for the patience.

Yes, I noticed that behavior too. I guess it's by design, to protect photographer from unwanted changes? But I too would prefer the action to be performed on the first click, along with displaying options/settings. I will add that request to the FW wish list I'm working on ;)
