Thoroughly enjoyed using my new GXR with the A12 M mount sensor unit. My favorite lens to use with this combo is the Voigtlander 35mm 1.2 (First Edition) and the Voigtlander 75mm. Great fun!

WOW! Just WOW! These are amaaaazing pictures - don't ask me to choose a favourite, they are all stunning! Although, I do have a bit of a soft spot for no.s 10, 14 and 16, but I love all of them :D . Excellent composition, dof, colours, and a great eye for capturing the moment. I hope to go to such places one day (especially after seeing your pictures)...

colors are really amazing. 1 and 10 are my favorites. Can you give us some specifics about PP, jpg/raw, focusing etc?

Beautiful! I like #15, the ship tied in with the rope with the sunset reflection. Would be happy to learn from future photos of yours, if you could attach the Exif data.

Very impressive set, Stuart... All the pictures are very beautiful but I'm with Quester and like the one of the ship. Thank you to post!

With this configuration GXR+A12 M Mount+ RF lens it does not seem to record the Aperture setting in the EXIF data, just the ISO and shutter speed. The PP generally was cropping, levels, a lil saturation/vibrancy and just adjustments to the exposure, on the whole not much. In particular the color rendition was very pleasant straight out of the camera. I work on DNG although the GXR takes a corresponding JPG as a default (which you cant change ????). I didnt record the aperture on each photo in a notebook or something. Setting the aperture is done on the lens using the ring, same for the focusing, manual all the way, but it has "focus peaking" to help you out (shimmering outline to show in-focus areas)

Thanks everyone for the kind words

If these shots were a dinner, they would have been served in a Michelin starred restaurant. I know that the photographer makes the photo........not the gear, but dammit.....I am gonna rob me a bank to get the cash to buy the combo you used for these. Just stunning quality.

Superb job on these. Makes me keep coming back to an M mount and Voight 35mm 1.4 instead of buying the 50mm module. Not sure I'd like the larger 1.2 35mm for size and weight. But these are great examples.

Duane I appreciate your comments about the size and weight trade-off on the 1.2 35mm but i am just in love with that lens, just love the "feel" and the color rendition. I have the smaller 1.4 but feel the trade-off is worth it for its style of output. This is as opposed to the Nokton 50mm f/1.1, that is even bigger and heavier than than the 35mm 1.2 however in this instance the quality (although it seems i was lucky, i believe I snatched a "good" copy) doesn't justify the extra mass, thats why i am investing in a Zeiss 50mm f/2.0, that reviews are stellar and it is small and light. I might sell the 50mm f/1.1 or keep it for when i want to utilize that crazy narrow DOF and bokeh for more artistic and impressionistic shots.

All this has to be put in context, of course, coming from a DSLR background the freedom I feel using this setup justifies the switch. When i go back to my Pentax K5, with battery grip and loaded up with the Sigma 70-200mm monster lens it feels so ungainly and awkward. But both configs have their place, i suppose.

Hey but I appreciate your kind words, especially as I am I am a great admirer of your photography

Cheers
