Finally got a GR Limited Edition

I finally decided to part with my money in exchange for a GR limited edition. I hope to post some first shots when I am able to play with it. I almost settled for the Coolpix A, which has dropped to a much lower point than the already hugely discounted GR. That one is a very well built machine. Great haptics like a miniature Nikon DSLR but the ergonomics and controls aren't made for street photographers. Well certainly these have been discussed a year ago

Hi Nevin. Does the camera come with adapter & hood? Yours a pears to be painted. Camera in hammer tone paint and hood in crinkly paint.

Hi Phil,

Yes, it comes with the textured hood and adapter. Also with a brownish leather GR case and neck-strap. I don't especially like the body colour BUT the set sells for a price as that for a generic black GR.

I am considering getting the 21mm converter too -- later maybe.

great to see you back posting again, and congratulations on the new equipment.
I think the limited ed version looks just fine, it reminds me of the hammertone Leicas.

Hey Tim, glad to be back and I have been slacking off for quite some time to even post as regularly as before on my blog. Well, I have been working on it since 2008 when I got the GX200 -- it is still working fine but has a dust spot on the lens unit I think. Not visible at wide aperture and lower contrast scene. Still love its grainy B&W.

Shame that the forum seems to have become silent a bit. Well, Ricoh should work harder. Regretful that the GXR idea seems to have been shelved.
