The catherderal image worked very well, the balance of light looks quite natural and the HDR worked well. Often they have a surreal look but this is natural

I agree with Tim. HDR can give you very forbidding clouds & sky. This photograph dose work with its good light all the way down to the lawn.
Is the Interior shot natural light or HDR?

The Interior is HDR and the orignal image is not strong at all , HDR can certantly make a impact on images , But not all , Ive seen some HDR images and some can be pretty much over done .

These where done with Dymanic Photo HDR program , free to download the trial version online .

Sally,

I very much like the colour & processing of image #1.

Is the image a single image [HDR processed] or a series of images?

David

Hiya David

The image is Single Image Processed and was handheld , next time i go i will be using my tripod , this was just a test shot and got a few more to add later :)

Sally :)

I like your restraint. When you take multiple exposures, you might want to see how simple stacking with no tone-mapping looks.

Overall, restrained, but the program seems to have left one defect. The lighting on the right face of the nearer tower does not look logical. Where does the light on the lower part of that side come from?

My only guess is that the postion of the sun in not in the correct angle of the image that was taken , Im not a expert at processing HDR images and practice will improve it in time :)
