dpreview review of the GXR with S10 module

Nice pictures, Richard, considering the weather looks just as gloomy in the Black Isle as it is here in East Anglia.

I rashly checked that SRS still have some S10 units at £49 which is tempting me. I already have a P10 unit which of course has a longer range of FL than the S10. Is the image quality any better with the S10? I really need to talk myself out of another attack of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome).

The sun has finally come out here! From what I have read the S10 does have slightly better IQ than the P10 but over what is obviously a shorter range of FLs. The sensor is similar (same?) as the GRD4. The lens is well liked. Gerd did some comparisons on his GXR site which you can access via the right handside of the portal. It's a nice and compact unit but it's never going to out perform an 'A' unit. However, worth a punt at £49 I suggest.
