and what a lovely setting ..... i hope they can live there forever, happily grazing the days away :)

where were they Andy , in the Highlands perhaps ?

thanks, Kort .

Joining the excited crowds. These cows seem to be close relatives to American bisons.

Kort, yes, almost the Highlands! This is where I have set my Scottish roots for the last 45 year; the Black Isle, just north of Inverness. I love it! :D

A wonderful picture of wonderful animals :D
Beautiful light and composition.
Genster, they are indeed beautiful! I normally find cows very curious animals, so when you approach, they come to you to see what you are doing. However, these guys were still chewing breakfast and would not approach. I was forced to jump the fence at which point the three at the left stopped nibbling and 'gave me the eye'. The nearest one seems to be saying 'this had better not take long...'. So I was very quick! ;)
Peter, these guys are tough like the bison, but are domesticated and (usually) quite tame...the original Scottish 'Highland Cow'.
Cheers!
Andy
