Connect the Ricoh GR to a mobile phone

Hi everybody. I know some camera models can be remote controlled by an iphone or an android mobile phone. I wonder if it is possible to to do it with a Ricoh GR. I take my Ricoh GR with me when i ride my bicycle because of the small size. Sometimes i want to take a picture of something i find in my way and i stop to do it. In this case, i am not in a hurry, i can take some time to take the picture. The problem is that often, the sun is shining and i can't see anything on the screen. i know , one option would be to buy one of those expensive externar viewfinders but i wonder if it is possible to connect it to a smart phone , just to see the photo in the screen of the phone. Thanks

I don't know anything about the phone option but I do know that you can actually get cheaper viewfinders for the GR. I just bought one on eBay which cost around 20 dollars + shipping. I have not received it yet but I can post some comments about the quality of it when I have used it a bit

Steffen, i guess you mean this guy from Israel that sells viewfinders that he mades. 22 $ +shipping cost ,right? There is also a tutorial in youtube to make your own viewfinder. Anyway , i would be very happy to know about the possibility to connect the camera to a mobile phone. Sometimes i want to take a photo from a higher point, so i could look through the viewfinder anyway.

Hi
it's a lite-apply named DSLRDashboar that run on that you want, but on canon & nikon only if i remember...
it work on my GXR,only to play on the phone (android) the pics saved on the camera....but without any remote.
For this you need to use a Ricoh release cable and a litle and ship cable converter USB female to Mini-usb ; that
work,but with minimal features
Note:For complete remote, the camera have to be "PTP compatible" (Picture Transfer Protocol)
The USB cable connection have to be "USB-OTG" (on the go) to connect a camera and tablet/phone,etc..without
to use any PC
Maybe an adapted apply can run with remote on Ricoh... i don't no.
you can look this:

crazy,you no?

That`s what I hate about small omissions that would make camera more usable. the classic example is GR without wireless connection. How difficult it can be? As far I remember, Samsung had the thing in their compacts the size of GR ages ago, that enabled you to remote life view and control the camera from iPhone.
