Color of snow "Multi-P Auto" White Balance

Jonnni

New Member
The day before yesterday I was skiing in the austrian alps.
Got some very nice pictures with my GR.
I love the camera!

A few pictures (only jpgs) show wrong color artefacts in areas of snow.
I realised this only happens if "Multi-P Auto" white balance is activated. With "Auto" or "Daylight" white balance setting anything is fine.
Firmware (was) 2.03.

Anyone else had this problem?

Re: Color of snow with "Multi-P Auto" White Balance

Hi
If the WB is on position "auto" the choice of color temperature considered will be the one which will be the highest of the image. (Here mountains up from the image, (enlightened by a blue sky)
If the WB is on position " Multi-P " we indicate has the device that there are several different sources of illumination; the choice of color temperature considered will be intermediate between the "mountains"zone at the top of the picture and the "evening light"zone at the bottom of the pic...
