Closing of the 9th Ricoh Photo Contest

There is a glaring error in the official contest page (English page) that the application date is through to the 29th of August (surely Pavel has informed us that the closing date is 21st and so do the Japanese and Chinese official page).

And of course, if you're not aware of it, the contest has acutally been closed. Owing to that extraordinary glaring error, I wrote to the enquiry email address of Ricoh about it only to receive an error return message (not able to get through to them).

For the same reason, my personal opinion is that the entry date should be postponed to the 29th August.

What say you? :roll:
 
I agree with you Nevin, I wanted to submit a photo this week and have not noticed the 21st as the closing date.
 
Silly me. Despite I posted the original Ricoh Japan news announcing the end date as 21.08. I was also fooled by the official Ricoh Global announcement and did not post my entry yet. I just could not decide which one from the final five selected photos is the best one for this contest? ;)

Agree with you Nevin. The contest end date should be postponed to the date listed at Ricoh Global. Not just because of me or you, but because everyone confused by this announcement.
 
Well.....

The official page provides an email address which I cannot get through. If there is any way any one of us can make this issue known to the Ricoh people, please do.

I prepared an entry and missed the "closing date" too.
 
I just sent an email to Mr. Kodama from Ricoh Europe. I'm sure he will pass it to responsible person.

Good news guys! It seems Ricoh listened us and the deadline for 9th Ricoh contest is now extended to previously incorrectly stated 29th of August! So hurry up with your submissions! ;)
 
I´ve just posted my submission ! , as soon as I saw the theme I knew what to post , it was really easy as I just have a few photos taken with my Ricoh , so I posted the photo I published today in the photoblog !
