first one is made with the new soft - program that came with the last firmware upgrade for the gxr. I realy like that one and not just for portraits. Second one i took at the ICE train from Frankfurt to zurich. I like the mood and the light and the "peace" that the picture expresses.......

I too prefer the second photo. I think it's the nicely balanced composition and lightning what makes it more attractive?

As for the first photo, I'm somehow distracted by the "messy" background in the left-top part of the photo and partially also by the absence of right hand hidden behind the book

I think #1 had a bit more potential but for me the soft look is a bit too soft. #2 is a great study of the sitter, it tells a bit more of a story for me.

Hello to the forum and thank you all for your comments. The first one i took when we where at the dryer in a puplic wash center. Claudia read a book and i played with my GXR and took the picture as a "snapshot". The situation was gone 5 sec. later. The sepia comes from the pp with silkypix + some secret prescription.....
The second one i took on the train and i played with it a bit. This one was the best from the series.
