Celebrating Brasília 50th Anniversary

wonderful! very nice lines and shapes!

Brasilia is one of the few things that could make me visit latin america one day :)

thanks for sharing.

Very impressive shots, Oscar Niemeyer is one of the great architect of Post Le Corbue era, I'm still remember when I was young Brasilia motive was a must have architectonic for almost every R. C. building built in the 60s.

Great photos Rui! I can't believe Brasilia is just 50 years old? Thanks to your post and consequent google search I realized that Brazil president from that times was Juscelino Kubitschek a man with Czech roots! It's a very interesting information for me as a born Czech. Isn't this forum great? One learns new things everyday ;)

really interesting images. I think your processing and composition are spot on! :-)

Thanks guys! :D

Wow, I cannot tell how many more places will make me get back to latin america (Patagonia/Maias/Amazonia/etc/etc... and I would (hopping that I will) repeat all that I made already!
Brasil: Rio de Janeiro, S. Paulo, Brasília again to visit the new structure Niemeyer is building (altough it was the least safe city I visited there). But my favorite place is Lençóis, Chapada Diamantina.
Perú: absolutely fabulous. Is like visiting a different world, the Incas left a fantastic heritage, but pre-Inca is something precious. Like Nasca lines, for example - a definitive must do again!

What impresses me more is that he is still working!! Let's face it, altough post Le Corbu he was contemporary... this is amazing, the work he's doing through ages

Thank you Chichornio!

Well, I couldn't agree more with you, like I said, I have to get back to South America to visit all the things I don't know yet and find the time to repeat those I already know ;-)

The problem is to stablish priorities, I have no idea yet about where will I go next time, as there are so many wonderful and unique places there. Honestly, we have to see it to know what we are missing

Oh well, such a big world and a short life  ...and short income too  ...
