Blackpool

Blackpool is a seaside resort that was very popular in the early 1900's, but is now a bit past it's best. It's most famous landmark is the tower which is over 500 ft tall.

On a recent weekend break I managed to grab a few [dozen] photo's in the wind & rain, thanks to my Pentax W80. Not the best I.Q. in the world, but good enough given the poor weather conditions.

The shots of the waves breaking against the sea wall were taken at high tide in 60 mph winds, the spray from the waves was hitting me even though I was approx 15m back & 10m up on the high level pathway

Yes,
Its always a question as to how much can you risk a valuable camera for an image. The W80 was at least sealed enough.
The ferris wheel shadow is well caught. I like #2 is great for the strong lighting also.

#2 has that real 'out of season' feel to it...dark skies, foam on the waves...and not a deck-chair in sight!
And the shadow of the ferris wheel shouts 'Blackpool' to me, even though I have never been!
I have risked my GX100 in the rain, but beach sand and salt spray always made me quite nervous...
So, a nice set where the recording the scene is perhaps better than perfect IQ?

The #2 has great colours. The #5 would be perfect with someone facing the foamy wave, wouldn't it. But who would be willing to be such a model.

I was sort of hoping that some brave soul would venture neer enough to the waves, but the coastguard officers were keeping everyone away.........spoilsports!
