Battery runs out quickly

Hi there

Are there any ways to reduce the battery consumption of the GR3x? It probably helps to reduce the brightness of the monitor...
Can I switch off the camera monitor when transferring images to my smartphone via the app?

Thanks for your help.
Kind Regards
Christian

Hi Christian,
in my experience, it is very battery consuming, if you have the camera allways connected with the smartphone to get the location-data for your pictures. I tried this, when I am travelling, but then you need definetly more than one spare battery. So I decided to tag my photos with GPS-Data in post.

As the GR is starting very fast, my recommendation is to switch it off, when you just walking and switch it quickly on, when you want to take a picture.

I would not expect, that the display can be switched off during transfer, But I am not sure. You should try with the "Disp" Button or check the Options/ Settings in the App.

Regards

Hi Torsten

Thank you very much for your quick reply!
I haven't used the GPS data so far, but I'll keep this in mind.

I couldn't find an option in menu C to deactivate the monitor during image transmission.
But there is a possibility to deactivate the screen via the display button when the camera is switched on (under menu C Recording data display).

Have a nice evening, regards Christian
