Bad hair day (GRD4)

Blow-in

Active Member
Couldn't decide whether the title was 'bad hair day' or 'large stallion'?

Taken with positive film (factory settings) and one press digital zoom (with auto resize) - jpeg no PP. Had to juggle the EV quite a bit as I was shooting up towards the sky as the Shetland's field is above the road level. Used centre weighted metering (as you can see from the EXIF).

Richard, just beautiful. I just love the way you play with the on camera filters.
It looks so much like a Ciba it's unbelievable.
I'm watching you.... Thanks

Don,

Praise indeed! I wasn't quite accurate when I wrote positive film factory defaults as I had also selected 'strong vignetting' - if you haven't found this in your new 4 yet it's shooting, image settings, positive film, then a last right click to access the various settings which includes a vignetting setting of off, weak or strong. I guess this works best with the subject centred.

Thanks Richard. The presets are very nice and also very easy to modify in PP.
The only one that does not excite me is the HiBW.
It's different and not as beautiful as in the GRD3.

The positive film could get me hooked, not good as I don't really use color.
I'll watch you tho'.

Nice work with the camera Richard. Looks like you two are starting an affair... (I meant you and the camera, eh?... ;) )

Hi Richard,
I think you did well to squeeze this much detail out of such a contrasty scene using only jpeg and on-camera features. And you have caught this little big guy at a very expressive moment! Well done...
