Three shots of the Green Loch near Glenmore which is where we spent Hogmanay....not the best of days for photos but the loch really is that green...no one really knows why....there is a theory that it is because of the reflections of the trees but there is plenty of scree around and it is still green!?

Hi Richard,
it certainly is a nice shade of green! And much more atractive than the more common black water variety!
'Loch Dubh's always make me think of the Hobbit... :?

Andy,

Thanks - it would have been more stunning if the sun had been out as it is today. I'm just looking at some quarry pictures taken this morning and may post those - it's the Eilean Dubh's own Lochan Uaine!

Richard,

Wonderful colour in photo #1, did you have to PP?

A happy new year to you, keep the photo's coming :)

David,

A good new year to you too. There is no PP in any of the shots - straight jpgs using 'setting 1' which is my standard (can share the settings but unless you are using a GRD4 they don't mean a lot). It was rather overcast - with some sunshine the loch looks staggering (and probably rather artificial).
