Yes, the second one is my favorite in this set too. Very authentic and slightly soft look makes it very film-like. Is it posed photo or not?

The second one is perfect. A small being between enormous walls. Thumb up.

Thanks guys.....Not posed and not really any story!....An opportunistic shot . Walked past this laneway/entrance about lunch time in the city and saw this girl sitting having a cigarette. A friend of mine had shot the exact same laneway a couple of weeks before. When I spotted it I had to have a go myself....Took half a dozen shots and this one was the strongest....Evokes a lot of sadness, etc...

Just been cropped a little on the sides and sharpened...Little out of focus, but I think this actually enhances the effect of the photo.

Great pics! My favourite is also the second picture - there's definitely an 'alone' feel to it.

Yes, both Pictures are good, but the Second One is really
Great Street photography - superb composition - it is
The "decisive Moment", Tanks for showing!!

The second one has a powerful and effective message of loneliness,
rejection, sadness, relaxation and what shall I do next kind of thing.
It is just that you got there with good timing.

The first picture dazzled my eyes with too many focus points.
I couldn't find out what you want the viewer to focus on?
My eyes keep wandering all over the picture, is that what you want?
Good attempt thought.

:)

For me, there is a message in the first photo that the title seems to grasp(Alone but not forgotten)..The man is alone and looking cold, but the image of the praying girl seems to bring comfort, as though he is not alone at all!(even though she is only an image).
As for the many focus points, I understand that the 'comfort' of an image generally relies upon a single 'focus point'.
For me though, some of the most striking images I've seen are ones which take me out of that 'comfort zone', and challenge my brain to try and make sense of a seemingly non-sensical image. The darting of the eyes from one side of an image to the other, or all over and many points in between, which according to some 'rules of photography' is not in the best interest of the viewer, is for me( sometimes, depending on the image), closer to the reality of the 'chaos of life' school of thought.....anyway, I guess I'm just trying to say that I personally like to be challenged, and hence also challenge the norms associated with this beautiful and gentle art we call photography....That's not to say that the above-mentioned image does this to all, but it certainly does to me.....In a chaotic image like this one, the painting of the girl seems to evoke a feeling of love and caring ....
Thank you all for your comments, they're much appreciated....Marcus.

Don't know whether anyone noticed , but under the bottom floor window is graffiti with the word 'WARM'...
