Thanks Nevin! Now you made me really hungry! ;) These fried tentacles looks very good. Who cares about heart? Sooner or later, everyone is going to die anyway :D I like this shot very much. Colors are rich and you captured the proper moment. All the body and head-less hands look like human tentacles. Only stronger tentacles wins!

Fantastic image, Nevin. I know there is a lot of colour in the shot but I think this'd work in B&W too.

I lived in Thailand for a while and I ate a lot of they're kind of food. I'll try anythin' once, regardless of whether i'll like it or not.
I've eaten bugs, larvae, grasshoppers (nice with beer), rat, ants, snake, chicken blood (congealed, it looks like a chocolate bar), pigs blood, frog, chicken livers and hearts, raw beef minced with lime leaves, chili and, now get this...cow shit. The cow shit comes from inside the gut, not what has flopped out on the floor, and is all mixed together with the beef. Its typical rice farmers food and you've guessed right, I didn't like it. :)

I didn't like the beef, that is.

It sounds that there will never be any food crisis in Thailand then. I can easily spot among the food that some are common to the old people in China as delicacies. And I can dare you with these: yellowish whole chicken feet to be eaten cold, grilled cats or dogs, monkey brain's contents  , deep fried cockroaches, wine soaked with little farm mice.

And, yes, Pavel, those are human tentacles. Maybe they are yummy when deep fried.

Okay, now we can all throw up. :D

Nevin, now thats a totally different menu!! The only thing I can relate to on that menu is the chicken legs or feet, they're 'drunken' style aren't they? Believe it or not I am open to all, but those mice and monkey brains would challenge me!

About your photo though, I think its quite intriguin' with the poster on the back wall makin' up for the lack of customers faces, nice one.

Nevin,
Very good picture. I especially like the colors, and the way they are distributed over the picture. To me the man on the poster in the background, and the "tentacles" in the rest of the picture, are totally different subject matters, but here they are joined very strongly by the picture's frame and colors. I think that makes the picture intriguing.

When it comes to food I am a chicken, so I won't comment on that. :)

That's exactly the intention. The face is of a local pop singer's. The best things about the poster are that he is looking right into the camera, and he looks steamin' "HOT" near the concealed stoves.

Tommy, thank you for your comments. Appreciate those of you all. ;)

Tommy, that puts you on the menu, too! :D

 No way I'll come to that London meet-up now! :-D
It's a good thing I don't look a bit like my avatar...

Hm... when I think about it I do may eat a few things that could be considered a bit daring. I love blood pudding, which is made from pigs blood, flower and spices. And I also like "sill": raw herring preserved in vinegar.

:D

Its surprisin', I eat oxtail and my grandmother ate brawn (sheeps head), and the Thai's really turn they're noses up at these, they would never dream of eatin' this.

Anyway, great photo once again Nevin, and its made us talk and think about it, like all great photos should.

Halloween  is on the way. Paul, what are you anyway?
Thank you for the kind words. And I admire your works likewise.
