AF Problems with Ricoh GR

Hello GR owners

I'm a new happy owner of a Ricoh GR and it's a fantastic camera!

But i have a problem with the Autofocus:

It seems that just in 80% of the pics, the AF working fine and the "target" will be sharp. :roll:

Mostly the AF can't find a Focus Point and the picture is very unsharp (specialy with portrait photos/faces)

I installed the latest firmware (v3.0) and changed the settings in the GR, but the problem isn't solved.

Has someone the same issue? Is there a solution?

Can you describe in more details and some examples too, perhaps? What settings did you change?

Are you by any chance referring to macro shots? Remember the minimum focusing distance is 10 cm / 3.9".
