Advice/Suggestions

Ok, the time has come. Looking for a new camera. Things I like about my GX100;
1-interval timer
2-24mm
3-size(I usually have the tube and shade attached)
4-macro
Things I don't like;
1-low light IQ(goes for all small sensor cams)
2-max 2 seconds before dark frame noise reduction(would need bigger sensor anyways)
3-dust on sensor
So, that being said, anyone who has seen my posts knows what I like to take pics of. I also use snap focus alot for general family and walkaround shots.My all time favorite thing to photograph is lightning, 2nd would be landscapes and clouds. I am looking to you, fellow photographers for suggestions, Ricoh or otherwise.
I have looked at a few other cams, but I find DSLRs just too big and cams like the NEX-5N, while nice and small, just has too many things wrong(no wired remote for timelapse and absolutely no possible way to set infinity focus at night(how insane is that!!!))

You sound like your ready for the GXR. Congrats, it's not an easy journey to reach as a goal but you've done it like a few others.
Now, the Zen of photography will shine in your images.

Hi bertalan

I also think, that the gxr would be the best choice for your needs. And this advice is not restricted to ricoh products. I was in the same situation a few months ago and I considered a lot of cameras reaching from Sigma dp to high end dslr and also the leica m9. But in the end I came to the gxr-system - yes because it is a very different "system" - it´s up to you to choose the right parts.

In your case I would suggest the gxr body + the new 16mp module. It is a big sensor, starts at 24mm and has for shure better low light IQ than any small sensor cam - maybe I would buy an additional grd3 as a small "back-up".

with best regards
