Last week I visited a camera store in the city. They had numerous Ricoh goodies but I had my eye on either a DW-6 or a TC-1. (Both were/are offered for reduced prices on their ebay site).
I asked if they'd sell me one for their ebay price and was rejected. Off home (grumbling) I trotted and had a look. Well, well, 2 hours to go before the end of the auction for one of their DW-6's. A nice easy bid 30 seconds before the end and 'what do you know it'.......A new wide angle lens for ......AU$9.99..........BTW, AU$149.99 in the shop.
No postage. I picked it up the next day and this is the first image taken as I walked out the door.....happily! :D
GX200, ISO100, f5.6, 1/400's.

Absolute good one Marcus, the photo I think gives a good hint to who is the retailer.
Ever so slightly jealous of your win!!

Funnily enough I was thinking this morning that it was time to fit the DW6 on to the GRD4 for some more shots. I think it's a great lens (only issue can be a bit of flare in to the light) - and that was an amazing price!

Richard

PS congrats on the June win.

Yeah, I grabbed one at that price just before the end of the financial year.
Even with the 15 bucks post & packaging it was a steal.
Wish they had some GV-2's to unload.

To:
Don - Yes I did  , but I do like happy endings! :D
Tim - Thank you, and 'wow, I never noticed that before!?'... , they do have more ( to ease your pain  ), if you're into ebay
Richard - Thanks....yeah I noticed the flare, an inherent problem in wide lenses. Tis a great lens though, I'm surprised by its sharpness....and yes, $10. Hard to get anything decent for that price these days, especially in a camera store!
33dollars - Another lucky customer....excellent. Haven't seen any GV-2's. They do have TC-1's on offer. I'm waiting patiently for a VF-2 myself....

Really a good buy, Marcus. I have it ( unfortunately in Italy) and I love it!
