That's a great read and very informative, I loved reading what was said about the smaller sensor GRDIV of which I have never used. I could even pick one of these up as well because of what was said about it...
I am still loving the GR and can't wait to get my hands on one but Wouter's mentioning hot pixels at higher ISO's concerns me. I wonder if this will be a problem with all of these GR's?

Yes it's my website :)
I'm uploading the discussion so far....some good points on the Ricoh GR!

I am in contact with Pentax Ricoh about this. I haven't heard from others about signs of hot pixels, so maybe it is just a one off.

Thanks for all the work on the site - it's a good read especially as we know the contributers are real photographers and not pixel maniacs.

LOL !!! :D :D :D

All sounds fine guys, as long as you togs don't shoot me on the street.

I never got that streettogs, togs, streetshooter, shooter thing. Has that something to do with criminal activities? Gangsta stuff? Stealing? Robbing?

Ah, whatever. Shall we have a drink a chat about photography?

No hot pixels on mine - my up/down wheel is not as pleasant to use as before. Not that finger running on the edge of the wheel was ever one of the best GRD features either - the recessed wheel and chamfered body edge did not help. The GR wheel seems identical - same recessed depth but it is now about 4.3mm from the front plate edge instead of 2.8mm. Seems 1.5mm too far as if that would make a lot of difference.

"tog" seems to be a fashionista nickname - not one for a rugged street shooter. Need a very large dslr and an even larger lens and a couple of dolly-bird models hanging about to be a proper tog. I wish ....

Of course in Australia "a wog" was a derogatory nickname for a post WWII migrant from somewhere in the Mediterranean region which has morphed into a term of endearment used by the same persons to use of themselves - it is now more comfortable in society. But much like B**tard it is more in how you actually say it. But "tog" and "wog" are too close for my comfort here.

"togs" is a short term used here for clothes, put your "togs on". Or if you are going to the beach put your "swimming togs on".
Not heard a lot these days but the older generation still uses it.
Photogs makes a bit more sense to me but more effort to say it and type it.

My grandparents regularly used a term spoken as "drekly" meaning directly, or I will be there directly or immediately.
I haven't uttered the word wog since the 1970's. Never even seen the movie - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0216417/

Class dismissed! :D

BTW: should I be doing this hot pixel test? Is everyone doing it?
