Thanks Andy - I was on the water in the orange RIB when you took this....it was our Chanonry Dolphins evening for the 8 - 12 year old new sailors. A bit more wind would have been nice but it was a very pleasant evening.

I did actually suspect it might of been...
Good fun was had by all on the water, as far as I could tell from the safety of the shore!

PS this 50m f1.4 is REALLY growing on me...very sharp indeed and also easy to focus. Also, the DOF indicator on this lens seems quite close to reality...but not a problem for GRD-ites like you Richard!

As Richard stated, this is actually Fortrose, Rog. As can perhaps be better seen in the second picture I posted: this is a great geological shot down the Great Glen Fault whoes line is marked by the depression in the hills in the far distance, leading on down into monster country (Loch Ness, that is!)
Incidentally the fault in the other direction runs under my house and with three earthquakes between 1800 and 1901 and none since...hm!
