I was out playing with my new GRDIII, trying to learn how it behaves. This picture is more or less an accident. I saw some interesting looking spider web on a traffic light on a tiny refuge in the middle of the road. Unfortunately there was also -- surprise -- traffic going on extremely close by, so I did not want to hang around, as you can understand. I grabbed a quick shot, and this is what I got.
The fixed lens certainly makes photography more, ehm, interesting! :-D

Fixed lens is definitely a challenge and pushes the photographer forward. One becomes much more creative because have to go closer, and mainly THINK about the photo.

Tommy, when I first saw this image I saw something totally different, I saw a graphic looking robot man - the part in yellow being his body, head and shoulders with giant arms held in the air with these big black tools on them. I know my view is a bit whacky but if you look at it, you should be able to see what I mean.

I didnt even notice the spider web - I guess we all get something different from a photo.

I would say I have seen a crab like creature for the first glimpse. However, the spiderweb is charming, too.

I think the picture mostly fails as a spider web picture. ;-) Although there is some visible spider web in it, the traffic light does not look "covered in webs" as I perceived it at the scene.

Pavel,
You are so right, I should THINK before I try to grab a picture, especially during time constraints. I always does this wrong, I get overly excited, and my creative vision is blocked. I'll try to get back some time when there is not so much traffic.

Tim,
The "big black tools" (or maybe something like Orol's "crab-like creature") was the thing I saw that made me post the picture, but I do see the whole robot now, and I like it. Thanks!
