Yes finally got the GXR with A12-28 and P10. Seems that my online shop only ordered them back-to-back and not for stock.

I’ve only had limited time to play but I must say that the A12 is very nice. The autofocus is quite snappy. The GXR in total is a bit heavier than I expected but on the other hand it feels solid.

I took it for a spin last sunday. Since the weather was overcast and nature is still very much in winter colors I decided to take from handheld HDR's. Shot with the A12 in RAW with the auto exposure bracketing +/-2 (my GX100 could not do this). Post processing was done with PhotoMatix. Here are the results (for some reason I bumped the ISO to 400 along the way).

The Ricoh HDR's normally quite subtle. I'm not sure I'm keen on the haloing in the sky at the horizon.

Hi Remko, they are quite different HDRs, deep in colour detail but not super saturated, quite subtle as mentioned.

Nick, you're right in this format the watermark is no the large side. I need to dig into Lightroom to see if this can be made smaller (I'm pretty sure it can be).

Hi Remko, I love HDR pictures & at times they have saved my arse when shooting low ISO/ASA in morning light.
Revealing that detail in shadows is a plus. I just reinstalled Photomatrix pro & have missed it dearly.
Here are some hand held bracketed shots, jammed to a wall for support.
HDR is great for bringing out lost detail. HDR can also push a digital image into the unknown.
IMHO its best used sparingly for its best results.
I love that first photo of the tree lined avenue.
