thankyou all for the 'lovely Comments' , much appreciated .

with the trees just about in full leaf to diffuse the sun ... the splashes of light were dotted beneath the canopy, it made for lovely lighting conditions. I just PP'd a little sharpness and deepened slightly :)

Cheers Kort .

I love it!
It is somehow 'larger than life'! Like a piece of art rather than a real flower...nice focus, nice composition...super! :)

The picture provides not only a sense of eternity along with a kind of spiritual energy
that one cannot simply describe through the glow from the flower. It is a picture that
I would hang up on my wall for gracefulness, peace, joy and evidence of the ever
uniqueness and wonders of nature. :D

Simply said, it is perfect. Like a piece of sun caught by petals and gently shining.

again .... i am greatly thankful of your most kind and gracious comments .

When , in many cases i have tried to take an image of a yellow flower in strong light with the GRD, i have seen that they are suffering from a great deal of flare (tested on many settings) i find mostly that this only happens with this colour. This makes me wonder if the Sensor is 'very' sensitive to the yellow, which once more is making me think that perhaps this is the reason that the yellow of the flower in the picture came through so strongly and clearly under the soft light and shaded conditions ?
Or perhaps it was just one of those special moments :)

Thankyou , Kort .

Lovely shot. I think everything I would like to say has already been said :)

Thats the kind of photograph I wish I had taken.
