#2 has a wonderful sky...and for me the b&w in #1 emphasises the cold starkness of winter...
I think in Scotland they are talking about the coldest winter for 25 years...thank goodness for global warming! It keeps the polar bears in check for another few decades hopefully...

Thanks for the nice comments. I might add that these were shot with my GX100. First one in B&W jpg with some added contrast, and the other in dng with a bit of Photoshop for curves, colour and contrast.
