Great catch Ken. Are these wild horses? If something like that still exists...

Nice! They posed well for you...it creates an almost supernatural, dream-like image...
When I read the title, I expected to see a picture of a stormy sea (as we call the white wave crests by the same name) but it was very much the opposite!

Thanks, guys!
>Peter: No, they're quite domesticated. Old plug horses, by the looks of them up close.
>Andy: I was hoping to get just such an effect, but it took a long time. The horse higher up kept his/her head down, eating most of the time, and except for this shot one or the other had its rear pointed toward the camera.

Thank you, quester! I'm a lover of B&W and, although this was recorded in color (RAW), from the moment I saw the horses I felt it would make a great B&W image.

Well done , Ken.
It seems that you work very good together, you and the Hektor 13,5 cm ;)
Cheers

Thanks Jonie.
I'm trying to master each of my M-mount lenses, including my OMs w/adapter, one by one. Each has its quirks & strengths. The Hektor is a bit on the soft side in lower light, but produces fairly sharp images in brighter conditions. Here, it lent a dreamlike effect to the scene which works well, I think.
