When I read the title, I expected to see a picture of a stormy sea (as we call the white wave crests by the same name) but it was very much the opposite!

Thank you, quester! I'm a lover of B&W and, although this was recorded in color (RAW), from the moment I saw the horses I felt it would make a great B&W image.

I'm trying to master each of my M-mount lenses, including my OMs w/adapter, one by one. Each has its quirks & strengths. The Hektor is a bit on the soft side in lower light, but produces fairly sharp images in brighter conditions. Here, it lent a dreamlike effect to the scene which works well, I think.
