White GRD IV for real

I have seen them both in the flesh together. The black one looks just like the GRDIII with the phase detect sensor window, nothing flashy, very discreet. The white one, not so sure, it is different, more noticeable, fashionable? but not really for me. Great idea if you had two then you would know which one was which pretty quickly (grin).

Just one of life's useful little tips.

I just took delivery of a white GRD IV (after owning a black GR1s, GRD and GRDII).

The finish is very different - smooth as if painted rather than the mottled, texture finish on the black models.

It, however, does not feel any less well made or rugged though it may prove less durable. Only time will tell.

Overall, I am happy with my choice. I bought it sight-unseen but have no regrets.

I think its powder coated then baked for durability.
Most marks should wipe off like kitchen white goods.
Even the battery compartment is white allowing you to see to the bottom.
The gray grip maybe hard to keep clean once the finger oil gets into the little recesses.
