which easy raw converter ?

till now I use dpp (of canon) and capture NX (of nikon) as raw converter.

now I buy a ricoh GRD IV and I don't know what to use because capture NX and dpp can't open DNG format.

I don't like programs like aperture or lightroom with a library of pictures in the program and I also don't like complicated programs like photoshop.

I would like something as easy as possible but also powerful.

some months ago I saw one easy software in internet but I don't remember his name.

can you help me ?

thanks a lot :p

Try Raw Therapee - it's free and not too complicated. Or you could look into Silkypix - it's on the pricey side though, but if you win one of the monthly competitions on this forum, it's one of the software prizes you can choose from ;) .

I think there are many opportunities Sergio. There is Photo Shop Element, and if you If you'd rather not pay for software there is for example:
- RawTherapee
- Gimp (with UFRaw)
- Zoner Photo Studio Free
And much more :D

R: which easy raw converter ?

You can also convert your dng to a tiff and work with capture nx2

Hi,

I personally use two SW pararerly.

1) Silkypix in last version 6
2) Zoner photo studio 15

- Silkypix has strong noise reduction algorithm. Decent HDR tools, practical white balance optios, could crop raw directly, narrow skew image.
- Zoner has implemented also simple photo editor. Has great function of straighten verticals, vibrance (clever saturation). Gradient filter...

Silkypix is 119 EUR, but could buy for promo price if you wait for it.
Zoner, if you install some older free version, will send special price for 69 USD.
