Hi guys, I want to watermark some of my pix because some cheeky so and so is using them on there blog, what is the best way to do this, is there a program that can create a watermark which i can then save and apply to each picture? or do i need to do each picture as i edit it? I'm having problems with my lightroom so dont want to do it there and in picnik it takes to long to upload each picture and do each one from scratch. thanks M

I end my work flow with Faststone Photo Resiser
http://www.faststone.org/

It's a very easy and friendly way to do what you want. You can control the size, position, transparency, etc, of your text. When it's done, it's done for good. And you can adjust it every time that a specific photo requires. ;-)

Marky,
I think Photoshop has some watermark ability, but I assume are you looking for something with a batch ability to do a heap of images automatically? I looked at Irfanview and Xnview (free Windows apps) which both have batch ability. Xview could put a visible text on each image I think, but are you looking for something invisible?

PS: I've just had a look at your flickr account and Yummo, I think your pastries look stunning to me. Great work :D

thx Rui, I've looked at faststone but couldnt get it to work.will try again when I havent drank 3 beers..........

Tim..thx for the feedback, I use xnview..didnt know it had this feature,I am looking for a visable mark. will take a look,..cheers guys

LOL, you're welcome, Mark!

Ok, the water versus beer marks, pun intended :-D

Give it a try with Faststone, but remember to choose "text" instead of "watermark", if not you will have Faststone written on all of your pictures ;-)

BTW, your photostream is dangerous! Very dangerous, really! How can you manage to shoot without eating first????

ha!....Rui I do at least 5-6 dummy runs with the food befor i put it on the menu to make sure it is as good as it can be, sometime a dish can take a week to develoop sometimes several months, depending on how busy I am....so i get a bit bored with eating it all to be honest!
