I didn't quite know what category to post this, but seeing how it used to live on the street I put it in streetshots.
For some reason the highlights were blown, and no tweaking I could do would recover them.
It goes to show you need to get good exposure at shutter time.

One of those wonderful shots where I immediately connect to the story behind. Given the overall contrast of the scene you had hardly a chance to keep everything within the sensor's capability. I don't find the blown highlights too much of an issue. Thank you for sharing,

Wolfgang

Hi Tim,
if you had not actually come clean on the highlights, I would probably have thought you had processed the image like this on purpose! :)
So, not an issue for me, and very good that you record such things before they disappear for ever...

No harsh highlights causing distraction were observed here, Tim.
The old-timer would need a serious maintenance prior to setting off, though. :)

Thanks Peter, yeah, the owner of this and many others is essentially only storing them at the moment.
He has too many to "process"

Andy, I have enjoyed taking car photos off and on for many years. I'd have to dig about in my film archive and do some scanning to post more.
