It has been incredibly grey and wet here in the UK for what seems a long time. We were on Crete in September 2009 and the attached photo was taken in Sougia on the south coast. Unusually, it had rained the previous two days, but then things went back to normal.

I don't know what camera your photograph was shot with JBush. But I've been looking into angle of view all weekend for my pano work. Just noticed that at the hight (sea level) its hard to see the curvature of the earth. Apart from the horizon.

gsaronni posted some photographs from the mountains and you can see some of the curvature. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4146. This has got me thinking.

Anyho, I like your photograph because of its lines. Earth, wind & air with a good measure of water. :D

The picture was taken with a borrowed GDR II. I took around 230 photos with the camera and I very satisfied with results. So much that I bought the GRD III when it came on the market here. I still have my Olympus DSLR, but I'm finding that I use it less and less nowadays.

By the way, I'm not sure why the EXIF data wasn't carried over. I exported the picture from Lightroom and resized it before posting it, but maybe I should have resized it in Lightroom and then exported it instead? If anyone knows the answer I'd be interested to hear it.

Jasper,

What program did you use for resizing? As far as I remember, LR (by default) exports images with preserved EXIF. So I guess resizing the image after export from LR is the cause of lost EXIF.

Jasper,

Very nice colour, have you considered cropping into a portrait format?

Just a thought,

David

Just uploading a photo to check that EXIF data will be visible this time. I use Lightroom and exported the picture with width set to 1024 pixels.

EXIF data or not, the days are getting longer and it's going the right way.

Still not right! The picture was taken at 11:17 AM and Time/Date setting on my camera are correct. Not sure how to trouble-shoot this. Ideas, anyone?

Jasper

Hi Jasper,

This problem with date/time is a known issue with EXIF reader mod for this forum. I will have to check if there is another EXIF reader available or simply remove the date/time line from the reader code.

Excellent seascape shot, almost like modern art painting.
Love it. :D
