Viewfinder swap?

Hi Folks,
I have a GX100 and the optional viewfinder - will this viewfinder also work on the GXR?

Hi Simon,
sadly the VF-1 finder does not fit the GXR for which you will need the rather more expensive VF-2.

In fairness to Ricoh, the VF-2 is a much superior to the earlier VF-1 in many ways: clearer, brighter image and the possibility to adjust the dioptre value on the eye piece. I have damaged my VF-2 twice though, by over-extending the horizontal to vertical hinge on the tilt mechanism, a thing I have yet to do on my VF-1!

Interesting observation, Wiener...
The reason I ask is that I have had a GX100 for a couple of years and have the VF-1 as well as the Ricoh wide-angle adaptor and an LC-2 lens cap. I have really enjoyed using the camera, so I was quite interested to see that GXR prices are dropping now that the camera has reached the end of its production run, and I've always fancied the idea of using one, but have not been able to justify the price (I'm just an a casual hobby photographer).
It occurred to me that I might look out for a reasonably priced GXR/S10 combo and maybe add a P10 later, so I was wondering which of my GX100 accessories I could keep to use with the GXR.

I think Pavel managed to modify the LC-2 to fit the S10 lens unit. Apart from that there isn't much compatibility.
I have a spare GXR body and a spare P10 and S10. If you are interested, send me a personal message through the website messaging facility.
