The GRD IV has a great macro, but sometimes you just want a bit more depth of focus. That is where focus stacking comes in handy.

Set up the camera on a tripod as close as you dare to your subject. A bit of a breeze is ok as the software aligns the frames but its best to try to minimise movement.

Macro Mode: On
Focus: Spot AF
Full Press Snap: Off
Move Target Setting: AF
When you're lining up the shot, push in the ADJ. lever and scroll to the rightmost option, target selection, but don't select it. It should say AF in the topright corner and you will have crosshairs.

Move the target to the part of the subject that's closest to the lens.
take a picture
Move the target using the cursor buttons.
take as many pictures as you dare.
work your way slowly to the back, taking pictures, getting everything you want in focus.

Alternatively you can use MF and slowly increase the focal distance one or two clicks each shot.

beware of any changing light

I use a CA-2 shutter release but the self-timer also works in target selection mode.

Zerene Stacker comes with a 30day trial
Drag in all the pictures and go to Stack->Align & Stack All

You can achieve similar results In Photoshop.
Add the files as layers in the same image, then
Edit->Align Layers
Edit->Blend Layers

With any luck you should get something a little like these

from taking lots of pictures that look like this
