Unable to update firmware

I have a GRD II and have never updated the firmware, and now when I try nothing happens.

I have a Mac OSX 10.4-- I've downloaded the firmware- dragged and dropped it onto the SDcard- held down Mode and Play- and get "Execute!"- I hit "yes"- it says "checking rewrite files"- and then it reads "no file."

When I hold down Macro and Play it tells me I still have version 1.12.

I've formatted the card and gone through the whole process again- but get the same thing.

Please help- what am I doing wrong here?

Hi Steven and welcome here!

Downloading firmware file is just first step. Then you have to unpack the firmware package so you should get two files: ylaunch3 and ylaunch7
Finally, these two files must be uploaded to the SD card.

Hey there- I unzipped those files, and dragged and dropped them on the SD card- and then went through the process mentioned above.

No luck- any suggestions?

Are you sure there are both files (ylaunch3 and ylaunch7) and they are both placed in the root directory? In other words, both files must be outside any directory.

Perfect- thanks so much. I didn't realize I had to take those files out of the folder before dropping them on the card.
