time lapse photography

The Ricoh R10 , after much searching , appeared to be one of the only cameras at that price with a programmable time lapse facility. As a teaching aid it's been useful to demonstrate to students what can be done with a piece of wood. By making a film of their projects it visualises in a very appealing way how a job is completed. It started simply as an exercise in photography but it was a pleasant surprise to discover that it had added value. The students' movement around the workshop , filmed in time lapse, allowed me to see what happened during a working day; most of all it identified the ones who were working and those who were not.

I've always wanted to do a time lapse at work during the shift change over. Just to see a shift crew creep in & another snake out.

HI el gwiz and welcome here! Any chance you could post some of your timelapses?;) I too wanted to make some timelapses, but to my shame, never actually did one. BTW, there is a great page about Ricoh timelapse photography with some fantastic examples: http://www.setvak.cz/timelapse/timelapse.html
