[Blow-in]

My one for today.....it's heavily overcast here with a high wind & rain warning in force but I thought these sheds on my morning dog walk might suit the bleach bypass treatment - what do you think?

I like this one. If I were to give it the bb treatment I would go for the warmer setting with a lot of vignetting .
I would also try the positive setting. Lots of detail in there Richard.
I still find myself reaching for my GRD first. The GXR is not getting the use it deserves !

Thanks - yes the vignetting is a good idea especially to blank out that dull sky. I was hoping for a coolish blue finish - if I wasn't trying to keep up with one dog while chasing-up the other one I might have played a bit more with the settings - however it should still be there tomorrow (high winds not withstanding).

I'm finally getting around to using function pairing with the GRD4 and am assigning the various image settings to F1/F2 pairs - this seems to make them more accessible.

I think I'll be sticking with the GRD for a long time as my primary camera. Much as I lust after a GXR, M module, EVF and some lenses, I also want some bits for the MG and the boat needs some work on the bronze rudder fittings...priorties!

I like it, quite monochromatic. A bit Bleach bypass in look now for sure.

Hi Richard,
the image works well with those colours; predominately faded green and blue. I like it! It also emphasises the dank, 'dreich' weather you are clearly having! :?

Nice shot. My suggestion would be to use spot focus, f stop of maybe 2.8, ISO of about 400 - since you claim it was severely overcast and a bias of maybe -0.3.

Also, and this is my tuppence, keep a little area in front or on the sides of the object clear (not too busy). It brings out the best in BB.

Thanks - very helpful....I was concerned about the plants in the foreground but couldn't get round them nor hack them down as they are on private property (OK not that well tended as you can see) even if I felt inclined to do so. I did use spot focus to make sure the shed and not the foreground was focused.....will try your ISO on other settings next time with BB.
