The Pentax Q's secret weapon

The same can easily be said of the GXR-M:

Lenses!

However the quest for great lenses on the GXR-M is well understood. Many examples are shown.

The Q gets the odd sneer because of it's "small sensor" in many ways this is a valid remark. However the Q earns it's keep as a camera by being small and approachable. It is not going to really be done justice by the Pentax Toy lenses, Fujian price miracles or by re-cycling Pentax Auto-110 lenses. Cheap tools beget cheap images but the curiosoity factor and the low entry price make the resulting images interesting and remarkable even if not impressive.

I am lucky enough to have few LTM lenses and a smaller few LM lenses. A lens collecting incorrigable soon enough adds some C mount lenses as well. Easy to see that a good lens certainly makes the the best of the smaller sensor package. Also a good-enough lens is likely to be worth more than the camera, but don't let that put anyone off.

So I am talking myself into some sample images - don't expect miracles - I am not that great a photogrpaher.
