The Last Star in the East

Another from this morning. I guess I am going to have to live with the lack of EXIF as I cannot explain why Elements is removing it from the processed RAW files and not the JPEGs. It was the A16 again though.

PS, that star just could be a planet...

that's a peach of a photo. Like the mood very much sir!.....and as a bonus it looks as though the lighthouse lamp is projecting the golden light in the right hand sky

Ahh, Lighthouse images, I always like them. Funny thing though, does that lighthouse look a bit like Bender from Futurama?

Without that "star" it would be something totally different. Great catch, Andy.

Thank you guys!
Peter, I agree that the colour tones in the lamp and sky are complimentary. I used the RAW in the hope of getting more out of the lighthouse lamp as this was an essential part of the story. I will try the JPEG and see what I can make out of it just for fun (may post it later if I suceed...) ;)

Tim, perhaps the other way around? This lighthouse dates from 1846 and therefore predates Bender? :D It is a Stevenson design (same family as the Treasure Island author) but not aware of any 19th Century sci fi prototypes... :geek:

Other Peter, yes, I tried cropping out the star but thought it did not work so well, so left in in, merely changing the format to minimise the shadow in the foreground.

Yesss! Great Picture! Only think (if I can) I would have cut some of the lower black part... ;)
