The Grid has me stumped

I haved no problem setting everything else with my GRD IV. For some reason I can not get the grid selection to work. Currently there is the small two by two. I want the three by three for the rule of thirds. Been thru the list, made the selection, but it is not saving the way everything elses is being saved.
My guess it it something dumb I am not doing. Prove me wrong.

OK, I guess you have found the grid guide display options on the set-up menu (screw drives & spanner icon) on page 2/4 and selcted the 3x3. It should now display OK if you cycle through DISP. If it's reverted to the 2x2 when you switch on again it is most likely because you are in a MY setting and have not Reg. My Settings with the update (Key Custom Options menu (middle one) page 1/3. So as soon as you have finished reselecting the grid, go straight to Reg. My settings and update your selection.

Have you tried pushing the display button several times to scroll through to the grid? - not all the displays show it.

ok, got it. whatever it was that was keeping it from working was resolved when i did the restore defaults. when all else fails, start over.
