Now I didn't set out to do any tests, It just happened that way.
Long day, but got home from the pub & reached for my camera.
Missed & knocked it off what it was happy sitting on.  :(
Fell to the floor 1155mm or 3' 9½" inthe old speak.
OMG, I have never droped a camera in my life. (when handaling it)
Picked it up & took a snap of where it landed with the flash. I've been playing with the flash lately.
Hit review, .... yep the pic is there. OK, it works :) good.

Plug into the PC & up load .......... one pic :?:
What happened to the other dozen pics on this camera :?: I know there where more than one picture..
OK disconect from PC & check the SDHC card. Out & in. Reconnect to PC.
:) There are the other pictures. Feeeew.
So this camera has passed a test that I never intended to test.

In drop testing performed in accordance with US deprtment of Defence standards [MIL-STD-810F, Method 516.5, Procedure IV (Transit Drop Test)*] , the G600 passed the 1.5-meter shock resisitance test.

* Dropped in power-off mode. It is guaranteed neither breakdown nor not to damage.

So here are my pictures
The place where my camera landed & a picture of a dead christmass beetle being over run by ants.

PASS on the drop test, & don't try this at home.. EVER

Oh, I can pass on the drop test alright. I (accidentally) did it with a R6, turned on 1.5m into rock, and it failed miserably!! I've always wanted to buy a G (500 or 600) for adventurous photography, and beach and swimming.
